The Netherlands is known for a lot of things. Tulips, Windmills, VOC, Boats, but the one thing the Netherlands is absolutely NOT known for is cuisine. Unfortunately we don\u2019t have real cuisine. What a lot of dutch people do with their dinner is use mashed potatoes and mash everything together and use a lot of gravy. One of the reasons the Netherlands doesn\u2019t have cuisine is because of the enormous influence of foreign cuisines like the Indonesien kitchen or the Surinam kitchen. Because the Netherlands has been to all corners of the world, foreign influences can be found on our menus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dutch ingredients<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

But we do have typical dutch ingredients that we use in our food. So a lot of times when there is a restaurant with a typical dutch menu. It is not so much the menu that is dutch but more the ingredients. One of those restaurants is a restaurant called \u201cMoeders\u201d. It is located on the corner of the Rozengracht and the singel canal (Rozengracht 251). About 10 minutes walk from the Anne Frank house and also 10 minutes away from the Leidseplein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restaurant has an amazing dutch atmosphere. With typical dutch ornaments. A lovely all dutch staff will bring you amazing dishes with local and real dutch ingredients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
